When you buy a resale.. do you roll over the financing or do you have to obtain you own? Thinking of purchasing additional time, but never considered a resale until now.

Thanks to anyone who might know!
Michelle

resales are usually cash purchases... NO financing.

although, i believe there is one company that will finance resales, Tammac?
i am not familiar with it, but the resale brokers may be able to give you more information.

You can also consider using a home equity credit line- that will be lower financing that DVC can offer.

Also if you use Tammac, I believe the interest is non-tax decuctable (unsecured personal loan not a real estate loan) . Where the financing through DVC is.

With the MB program Disney's prices are competitive with resales. The interest rate is about 11% thru them--they aren't doing you any favors--but you can pay over 10 years. I always take out a 10 year loan and then pay it off in 3 or 4 years, that way if I really need extra $$ some month, I have it. This is only for the disciplined, though. DB tried it, and hasn't yet made a bigger payment than required;)

I didn't think of the equity line.. but I'll probably just do the Disney Financing- I have points already, but want some more. Anyone know what current prices are?

$84 pp and rumored to be going up to $89 pp soon. Also essentially all are sold out or nearly so. Only a few VB, BWV and BCV points left and not in all use years. Saratoga Springs should start selling soon, rumors are for 3 or 4 August at $89 pp.
