Resale points for Disney overseas

I am looking to purchase DVC, and maybe taking the resale route. If I do purchase a resale contract, would I be able to use those points for the Disney Resorts overseas? ie Disneyland Paris, Tokyo Disneyland, etc.
Are those DVC resorts as well?

Those are part of the Disney collection and those that purchase resale at this point are prohibited from using DVC points for those options.

Those are DVC resorts, so yes you can use resale points there. You can use resale points at any DVC resort.

Yes, but...

When considering a timeshare purchase, it is important to understand the difference between things which are guaranteed (precious few) and things which are currently true but not guaranteed (almost everything).

With DVC, you are actually only guaranteed two things:

1. The ability to use your points at your home resort -- subject to availability, of course
2. A one-month booking advantage at your home resort as long as DVC allows booking at non-home resorts

NOTHING else is guaranteed, as far as I know.

So...theoretically, DVC could decide to remove one or more resorts from the "Club" and prohibit using points there. Of course, that would also mean that those resort owners would not be able to use their points at the remaining resorts in the "Club."

Is that gonna happen? Naw.

The ability to use your points at any DVC resort has been a critically important selling point since DVC began building their second resort. Very unlikely that they will eliminate that option. But they could.
