Resale Point Restrictions - own both direct and resale

Has anyone who owns both direct purchased DVC and resale purchased DVC confirmed if they differentiate those points for the purpose of resale restrictions?

We owe 125 points that "predate" the change to resale points and 100 points that would be subject to the changes. I'm curious if they truly do note the difference within one member account (all share the same use year, so it's one continuous contract string and user account).

Yes they know the difference, not known if it's a system restricted process of if they leave it up to the CM's to notice.

That I know, I was just curious if they were able to easily differentiate direct and resale. We have direct contracts, resale before the change, and resale after the change. We don't typically try to sue points outside of DVC (did a cruise once).

I don't have personal experience but it's been reported that they know and enforce the rules.

I'm sure they keep track. It would be just one more field in the database entry for your contract, just as the contract number, the number of points and the home resort are part of your contract information.

March 11, 2011. The contracts you bought in late 2007 /early 2008 are grandfathered.
