I recently helped someone do a post divorce title transfer. Title transferred from both parties to just one. It was just about 4 weeks from the time I emailed the deed to member service, until we received the confirmation the the membership had been updated.
Any longer than that and I would personal suspect someone of playing games.
The wording that was posted with the contract also seems fishy.
However, If you are the deed owner listed on the comptrollers website. You haven't lost anything.
If you are ok with waiting this out I would suspect you will get your welcome package or email (I don't know what they do for resale) about 4 or 5 weeks after the trip in question. If that time frame jeopardizes the trip you want to book in 23, I would speak up. Agents, and brokers as well as title companies are licensed, and have a duty to deal fairly. It would appear based on what you have posted here, that did not happen.
If you want to make a big deal out of it that is your right to do so.
If you are ok with letting this play out, I personally think you will end up with what you expected.
My personal opinion is someone was not honest and upfront.
I think if you call
DVC and explain the situation their policy would tell them to cancel the trip.
Maybe, a letter (email) to the title company stating that you are not happy and will be email member administration later today will get them to come to the table with a better answer than the one they have given you so far.
It really comes down to how big of a deal you want to make.
