Resale Closing

How long did it take for you to make it to closing of your resale? I just received word that I passed ROFR today! Just wondering what others have experienced as relates to their contracts.

We passed ROFR on 1/30/2006 (submitted 1/9/2006) and we were "in" the system on 3/27/2006 and our points showed up on 3/28/2006. To me, it was forever, and I missed the good booking window for our November trip ... thus I am on the waitlist. Oh well. We got in, but the waiting was difficult. I have read about some going faster than others, so good luck to you! It's still very exciting, no matter when you get in! Congrats !

we passed ROFR on 1/10/06 on a 200pt BWV contract. we closed on the contract on 2/9/06 and were 'in the system' on 2/22/06.....made our first ressies that day! seemed like an eternity, but in reality was only about 6 weeks.

we passed ROFR on 7-28, received our closing docs on 8-18. We used TSS and everything went so well!! Now we can't wait to plan our next trip...HOME!!!!!!!

It was about 6 weeks for us as well. We received word that we passed ROFR end of May and was in the system mid July. I don't even know when the closing date was as I was never told. I just followed up with MS early July and each week after that. I only followed up once the second week of July and was in the system. I believe new members are added on Tuesday or Wednesday.

I've read that posts on this site where it only took 4 weeks from the ROFR date. I guess it just all depends on the closing company and how busy there are at the time your contract goes through.

Here's our timeline:

Tuesday, 5/23 - Submitted to Disney for ROFR
Thursday, 5/25 - Received news that we passed
Wednesday, 6/28 - Closed
Wednesday, 7/5 - Found out we closed and were in the system when we received Vacation Magic via email (we were never notified by either the Closing Company or the Resale agent!)

Thursday, 7/6 - Made ressies for our First Trip Home!
