Resale - almost closed and have questions

Just waiting on the seller's to get their closing docs back to the closing agency and I'll be all set! I was told I should be in Disney's system about 2 weeks after closing.... which should put it right into my vacation time. I'll need to call MS ASAP to try booking for Aug. and F&W, so I guess I'll try calling while on vacation.

Here are my questions:
1. Should I wait a full 2 weeks, or has it been more like 10 days-2 weeks to bein the system?
2. What do I need when I call? The only information I have is the contract number - is that even Disney's number, or just used by TSS?
3. And, on that subject, will I receive anything more - a user's guide or something?

Hello and congratulations on your purchase.

We just closed on our resale purchase on April 2, and I was told I could call Disney on April 12 (10 days later). I called on April 9, one day early since I was off work that day and I was in the system. All I had to do was give them my social security number, full name and address and they could access my account. I got my reservation for late August for 8 nights at BWV and was thrilled. So good luck when you call.

And you should receive the Planning Guide and the Member Handbook which gives you info on all the DVC resorts, points charts and exchanges and DVC policies, such as banking, borrowing etc. I received all this info on April 9 in the mail after I had made our first reservation.
