Requesting early check-in???

We will be checking into VWL tomorrow and I was wondering if anyone has experience with earlier check-in. We have two little ones that will need a nap in the mid afternoon if at all possible.

Is it possible to do this? If so, what time will they let us check-in?

You can check in at any time but your room may not be ready until 4:00 P.M. Depending on how full the VWL is, you may be able to ask them to move you to a room that is ready if your's isn't.

We have gotten into our room as early as 9:30 A.M. and as late as 5:00 P.M. I'm sure if you explain your reasons and there is a room that they can move you to, they will do their best. Just don't depend on it.

We checked in one morning at 6:30 AM It was an EE day at MK, we had stayed the night before at the Dolphin. We wanted to check in so we could store our luggage and hop the boat to MK for the 7:00 AM opening. To our surprise, the room was ready! Not one, but both rooms our party was staying in! It really depends on if there is a room available. Check in as early as possible is my only advice.

It mostly depends on how many rooms are full tonight. If they have some empty rooms tonight, you could possibly get into one in the morning. If occupancy is 100%, then it depends on how many people leave early in the morning and how quick they can get those rooms clean. What time are you arriving?

I have had mixed results with early check-in. This past summer I stayed at both SSR & BCV.

I checked in before noon at SSR and got my room immediately.

At BCV, I went through the check-in process at 11:30am, but did not walk into my room until almost 4:30pm.

We always put the kids in swim suits. A few hours in the pool and they never notice. For naps, you may just want to put them on one of the lounges near the pool.

Either way, tell the CM's at check-in about the kiddies. Maybe they can help you get to your room earlier.
