requesting a room

Hi, I've seen the information about the different rooms and the views from each room etc on the touring plans site. How do I actually request a specific room? Do I have to call? Can I do it online?

It's not recommended to request a single, specific room as if this room is not available the room assigners won't know why you wanted that room. It is best to describe what you are looking for. For example corner room, 2nd floor close to food court.

I prefer to call and add our room requests to our reservation. There are room request options during Online Check In but they are predetermined and very limited, there is no free form box to add requests. I usually book our trips via phone and add our room requests when I book. But, calling and adding your room requests can be done any time from the day you book up until 4-5 days prior to your arrival.

PP is correct, call and add your request to your reservation and make a request that can be understood by the room assignor so they have options that will help them find a good room for you. Also, you can ask for general advice on the resort specific threads if you are unsure of what area or type of request to make.

I had called about a month ago for my upcoming reservation for some requests. Then today I faxed over a fax with my request being I arrive in 5 days. So hopefully I receive them.

Also remember room requests are just that you can not plan on getting what you requested. If it is a certain room that has an option of paying more to get the room, then you might look and see if it is in your budget to pay for what you want. But if you are more then fine getting no requests answered then don't worry about paying the upgrade. Just go into it thinking you might not get any answered so you don't get your hopes up. It's just too iffy of a game if you have your heart set on something.
