requesting a coffee maker?

I heard that we can request a small coffee pot at Pop, if we call ahead and bring our own supplies. Is this true?

Has anyone brought a travel kettle/hot pot with them for coffee? I know about the mug situation with the refills, I just like coffee right away, in my PJs. How did it hold up in your suitcase? I'm worried about it getting damaged and then not working.

As far as I know, the values do not have coffee pots and can't request them. A friend of mine has packed a travel kettle with no problems. Just put it in the middle wrapped in clothing.

I will bring one and be careful with it. Reps on the phone said they can be requested.

And they are not the most well trained; we know better. It is kind of a no-brainer. I would have questioned it.

Why would someone request a coffee maker at a hotel or resort; either it is provided or it is not.

Back to the original problem, I like coffee first thing, without waking all the way to a food court to get it. My hotel doesn't have coffee makers in the rooms. So either asking for a coffee maker or bringing my own would solve the problem. Not gonna ruin my trip over it, but it's a nice thought.

I've brought a 4 cup coffee maker in its box as carry on luggage in a grocery tote type bag and it fits under plane seat fine. :thumbsup2

How about just a prescription from CVS for an I.V.? I would love to see your teeth. Do people slow down when you smile? Just kidding...gotta have my java too...

If you don't mind instant coffee you could pack a small electric kettle. Might be easier then the whole coffee pot. You can even buy those instant one use packs from Starbucks or dunkin doughnuts :goodvibes

Hi , DH has to have coffee asap when he is out of bed . I take a one cup coffee maker and coffee with me in my travel bag ( for safe handling ) on the plane and he is happy all day :) P. S. He drinks his coffe black -- don't forget your add ons. ;)

This is the one thing that has kept us from staying value before (sad but true!). We are bringing a small one with us this time.

Yup, I rarely travel without my hotpot. I use it to make my tea and instant coffee. I don't like getting dressed to get my drink in the morning! I've found I can use the coffee "pods" like a tea bag and I'm good with that. I also can use instant coffees.
