I did.

The first trip we took we did not, the second we did. So 50 percent.

We only requested a particular loop once and we were able to get it. In all fairness though, it was August (HOT) and wasn't too crowded at the Fort.

Depends sometimes on the time of the year. Harder during the busy periods. When its less crowded, like summer, yes. Christmas time, no. But at Christmas they have been letting us pick our site so it kind of a consolation to not exactly getting the exact loop we want!

Yes. The only time we didn't was when the loop we requested was having maintenance and renovations done and was completely closed. We were placed in the neighboring loop which worked. We camp with several families and have always been successful in getting sites together as well.
