request under rented pints

I have a trip booked in July with my own membership points and rented. 7/18-7/20 booked by rented points through ******* and July 20th-23rd with my own. all same room type/view. I know its not guaranteed for us to not have to check out and check back in to a new room but they've always been pretty good at that. Since the rented points are the first two nights is there a way I can put in a request? I was going to shoot for a room request plus another type of request plsu note that we have another reservation.

You can ask MS to merge the reservations. Chat works well for this if they are offering it.

MS can't merge reservations from different memberships.

OP - Ask the owner of the rented reservation to have MS add a note that it's a continuing reservation and to cross reference the reservation numbers. Also ask MS to put the same note on your reservation.

Well sorry. I felt sure we had done so with our own two and with using our‘s and our friend’s. Perhaps merge, as in combine two Rez numbers into one, is the wrong terminology (although we have done that as well, I presume within a single membership.) We have certainly “linked” separate reservations and avoided the room change. Good luck, I think you can likely get it worked out.

I would go to the front desk when you arrive and explain the situation and try to have the rooms noted as "continuing reservation".

I think having it noted prior is important so when rooms are assigned prior to check in day they can arrange then.

But definitely should do this as well because if it didn’t get done, then that is the time they can try to fix! We always do both!
