We are staying in a 1BR at BLT at the end of Aug. on points. My mother just made a reservation to stay in a studio at BLT the same time we are there. Hers is a cash reservation. If possible I would love for our rooms to be somewhat close. Is there a way I can now ask for us to be close (I know there are no guarantees)?

You can ask but since yours is a points stay and hers is a cash stay with Disney reservations you might not get it.

When you say close to you want them to be connected, you know one bedrooms connect to studios with a lock off door.

Your best chance is probably when you check in to ask of they can put you near each other.

Reference each others name in each reservation.

The cash party may be staying in undeclared units which may only be on certain floors in a certain part of the resort so it may be impossible to be together.

Just give MS a call and ask them to add the information to your reservation. Have your mom call DRC and add your name to hers as well.

Even if you both say "Traveling with XYZ and would like to be as close as possible".
