During my last trip,I was talking to the Canada ICMs and they mentioned how that, since the vast, vast majority of World Showcase Guests tour WS clockwise,by the time "Drink Around The Worlders" arrive in Canada, they are in "rare form"!LOL;):)

So,as an unsolicited plea on behalf of Canada, the next time you Drink Around The World, please give our Canada friends a "break" and BEGIN in Canada!LOL:)

Nothing against you Mexico, but you've had it "easy" for a long time as the first stop!;):)

:lmao::lmao:

I had never thought of this! But it makes sense, considering that *my* personal favorite way to start would be in Mexico with a margarita! Next trip we will be staying at BWV though, so maybe I will start with a beverage from France or the UK. Now if I could get Unibroue in Canada without sitting down at Le Cellier...I would definitely start there!

Good post! We drank around the world two different times in June, we started in Canada once and started in Japan the other time and headed for Canada. We did our part to help out!

We always start in Mexico because we always go to dinner at Rose & Crown or Le Cellier, so we travel slowly around that way.

Although the one time we tried to drink around the world at F&G, we did start in Canada and end in Mexico. . .I think at least. We have the glasses from the Mexican restuarant to prove it. . .I think.

but Mexico's national anthem is far more difficult to sing when you're drunk... especially when you don't know it ;)

I must be dark horse than as even tough I don't drink I always start in Canada when coming from future world.

We started in Canada on our trip in January. And ended in Mexico. After a detour to Test Track before our last drinks. Even touring with no drinking, it feels strange to me going any other way. :confused3

Canada needs to step up their drink menu if they want me to stop there first. What is it they are serving there now? Moose head? Labbatts?

No thanks! ;)

I started in Canada, with my cute little Torontopolitan (shot)..... Unfortunately I ran out of time (curse you Tokyo Dining wait time), and never got to the margarita in Mexico :sad2:

So next time, I'm afraid I have to start in Mexico so that I can get the margarita, and if I have to miss out on anything it can be the itsy bitsy teenie weenie Cosmo from Canada.

But I tried!

I noticed there seems to be a lot more frou-frou drinks, along with the wines and beer this year. :thumbsup2

This is too funny! After countless trips to WDW I can honestly say I have never drank aroud the world :sad2: Although I am thinking since my next two trips we will be staying at the Yacht Club, it may be a must. I figure while the kids are playing Agent P's adventure, I can stop and get a drink (at each country of course) :cool1:

And about the comment about the national anthem :rotfl: I am a huge hockey fan and probably know the words to O Canada, sober or drunk, LOL!!!

:lmao: Very good post!! maybe next time I'll try starting in Canada just to shake things up a bit, and then I'll give the ICM's in Mexico a comic relief for the day instead lol

MY DH and I will do our part by starting in Canada when we go next week. Of course, we have to space out the "drink around the world" thing over an eight day span...liver is not nearly as resilient as it was when it was 23 ;)

I want to drink around the world so bad. Our last 2 trips have been in summer and I am not drinking while it is hot out!!!!!!

Hoping for a drink around the world for my Oct 2013 trip!!!! I wll start in Canada and do my part :goodvibes

We try to do our part....one day we will have a lunch at Le Cellier therefore we will start at Canada, however it is more DH that will start there since I am not a huge fan of the beers...sorry to all of you Canadian DISers out there :goodvibes. Then on another Epcot day we will start off at Mexico where I will get myself a Fiesta Margarita. BTW great post and I am loving the responses too :lmao:.

Does anyone in here know (since, you know, we're talking about Mexican Margaritas) if I can get a drink to go from Cava del Tequila? I want to take that avocado margarita on my jaunt through World Showcase!

As a Canadian I'm usually tempted to head there first when coming from Future World - BUT always head the other way first. We pick up Margaritas in Mexico, ride Gran Fiesta Tour if the line isn't long and then head to Norway for Maelstrom.

Depending on how tired we are, or how hot it is sometimes we go to Norway first for the FP, then head back to Mexico for margaritas. yum! :cool1:

Plus - my father works for Molson Coors, so the lack of Molson brew makes us sad.

Is you nutz???
NEVER NEVER NEVER ask a drunk to alter their routine... Disaster follows.. I got the scars to prove it...

La Cava del Tequila is too good to wait for last. Sorry Canada. Get some Unibroue on tap outside (so we can get it without having to go to Le Cellier) and I might change my mind.
