Request For "Drink Around The Worlders"

but Mexico's national anthem is far more difficult to sing when you're drunk... especially when you don't know it ;)
I just do a shot and gargle....

During my last trip,I was talking to the Canada ICMs and they mentioned how that, since the vast, vast majority of World Showcase Guests tour WS clockwise,by the time "Drink Around The Worlders" arrive in Canada, they are in "rare form"!LOL;):)

So,as an unsolicited plea on behalf of Canada, the next time you Drink Around The World, please give our Canada friends a "break" and BEGIN in Canada!LOL:)

Nothing against you Mexico, but you've had it "easy" for a long time as the first stop!;):)

Best thread of the day... but I can't.
Canada needs to step up their drink menu if they want me to stop there first. What is it they are serving there now? Moose head? Labbatts?

No thanks! ;)

I love Moosehead at the cart! It's generally some of the coldest beer in the WS.

Does anyone in here know (since, you know, we're talking about Mexican Margaritas) if I can get a drink to go from Cava del Tequila? I want to take that avocado margarita on my jaunt through World Showcase!

Why, yes, yes you can. We always get ours to go.

As a Canadian I'm usually tempted to head there first when coming from Future World - BUT always head the other way first. We pick up Margaritas in Mexico, ride Gran Fiesta Tour if the line isn't long and then head to Norway for Maelstrom.

Depending on how tired we are, or how hot it is sometimes we go to Norway first for the FP, then head back to Mexico for margaritas. yum! :cool1:

Plus - my father works for Molson Coors, so the lack of Molson brew makes us sad.

I feel the same way- Molson Canadian would be awesome. Or a Unibroue would be stellar.

Is you nutz???
NEVER NEVER NEVER ask a drunk to alter their routine... Disaster follows.. I got the scars to prove it...

1st rule of DATW- NEVER TALK ABOUT ALTERING!
2nd rule of DATW- NEVER TALK ABOUT RULE 1.

La Cava del Tequila is too good to wait for last. Sorry Canada. Get some Unibroue on tap outside (so we can get it without having to go to Le Cellier) and I might change my mind.

AAAAAAAAAAAGreed!

In the Southern hemisphere, people drink around the world counter-clockwise. :)

We always start our world tour in Mexico...not sure why though...maybe because at the end of the day we like watching Illuminations from Canada area...

Or how about Howe Sound's Pumpkineater in Canada during the fall? I'd love to get that one more often here in the states.

This is interesting to think about. We usually stay at Boardwalk, so enter/exit through the International Gateway. We start in France and end at the Rose and Crown. Staying at Old Key West next time, so maybe I will rethink the route.

Ending my "Drink around the world" trip at a tequila bar would be a big, BIG mistake.

I'm always going to start with a delicious jalapeño or avocado margarita and end up confused, yet happy that I'm partaking in fish and chips.

THEN I'll get my beer from Canada.

When we were there in nov we started at Canada :):cool1:

On my arrival day we plan on drinking around the world to kick off our vacation. Lunch is at Le Cellier so we will probably hit up the UK and Canada first and then head to Mexico for margs!! So I suppose France (and their grey goose slushie) will have the honors for us.

I must be dark horse than as even tough I don't drink I always start in Canada when coming from future world.

Nope not a dark horse at all, and not alone..LoL

We've been doing this on our last 4 trips....It's the best way tour future world because most people used to go to the left, but not so anymore...

Strangly enough this year I will be staying in the BWV, So We may come through IG & head over to future world and make our way around clockwise a few times this trip....

Just an FYI.. I ve never made it all the way around from canada to Mexico (just Drinking Beer LoL) Got close but very very Filling:sad:

Sorry Canadia, but I need to start my drinking around the world with a margarita. It's just the way it is. There's a method to the madness!! If Canadia had margaritas I'd start there, but I don't so much care for beer...is that what they have? :confused3

;)

I'm right there with you!!! Nothing like starting with a Margarita--I can't wait to drink around the world in about 3 days!!!!!

no - not a dark horse - we always start in canada - we love canada - and off kilter - so after future world we get a beer - ice wine - torontopolitan - etc & watch off-kilter - then get a bass / harp / fish & chips & see british invasion (or whatever they're calling it now) and move around he world in this direction - actually since everyone goes the other way - this has much less traffic

Year-round Unibroue cart would solve this problem. I think I was a permanent fixture for that cart during the F&W fest.

BTW no Unibroue at the festival this year, they're advertising Moosehead. That's just at the booth though, maybe they'll bring it back to the cart.

That's what I'm hoping for! I think last year they didn't advertise the Unibroure in the F&W list as it wasn't at the official kiosk. I figured the Unibroue was a permanent addition to the cart, but heard it went away after the festival. Hopefully once the Fest opens this year, someone can post on the status of the Unibroue cart. I know that's gonna be one of my 1st questions.

I do drink around the world, but I can only do about three countries at a time so it can take several days to complete the circuit.

The problem is that Mexico has hand-mixed margaritas in La Cava. Canada has...Moosehead.

I know where I'd rather start. ;)

You betcha.
