Were staying at the POP the end of Aug and was wondering if anyone called in advance to request a specific bldg?
Do they put it down in your reservation so when you arrive it's a done deal if available of course?
As always, thanks for any advice.

Call now and have it added to your reservation. When you check in, it will be noted. The front desk person will do their best to get you into that area if possible. It's not guaranteed. I've had some real success with doing this but then again there was the time my husband and a friend went there. I requested Mightly Ducks since it was just two adult guys. They ended up in Toy Story.

We lucked out last week, but I will always put in a request in the future. The CM who checked us in had been working at Pop since it opened. She said that it runs at 87% capacity in the off-season to 100% up until the past week or so. Thus, the odds of getting a distant room are pretty good when you consider the number of other folks making requests.

I had them mark it on mine for our March trip, but when I got there the CM did not even look at that. I had to remind him that I wanted the 70's building, so he looked until he found one for me. It also helps to get there earlier.

I'm finally making it through all the "junk" we brought home from our weekend trip to WDW. We stayed in the 60's building -- room 1370 -- on the 3rd floor. It was excellent -- close to the main building, looking onto the bowling pin pool, high enough that it was quiet, near an elevator, etc.

I made our reservations for a 4 night stay at Pop last Friday. And of course I forgot to add my room location 'wishes'. So, I called back this morning and added...50's bldg, non-smoking on a higher floor. Of course, we'll see what happens since we arrive on this Friday morning! I wonder if arriving on DME will add to my chances of getting the bldg I want. Some say it does since the resort is notified of your arrival at MCO, they can go ahead and get you set up, before you actually hit the check-in line at the resort.

I was afraid to ask after they asked if I wanted a prefered room. I dont really I just want to be in the 70's because DH and I were both born in the 70's.

I requested 50s building, 4th floor facing the lake for our trip last March. I also faxed a request. I don’t know which one did it but I got all my requests. The only drawback was our building which faced the lake and Epcot was kind of far from the food court but not really bad.
