We've closed on VWL and we are so excited to be a part of the DVC family. We will be making our first trip home in June/July. We have not been to WDW in such a long time and now I don't have to worry about that happening again! The four of us will be staying in a studio DH, DD(6), and DS (10). Will there be enough space in the room (since we have not been to WDW in almost six years we figure we won't be spending much time in the room,LOL)? We bought without haveing seen them so I was just wondering? Thanks in advance for any replies.:pinkbounc :bounce: :pinkbounc :bounce:

As for the room, there is a queen size bed and a double sleeper sofa. I've never slept on one yet but all replies are that they are comfortable. I too spend little time in the room with everybody so I don't know that size would matter. The age of your children you ought to be able to sleep comfortably enough.

One thing though, you need to check availability as soon as possible. When I talked to member services about a week ago for just weekend rooms to go along with my existing reservation in June she told me they were getting full.

Thanks Loribell.
We have a confirmed studio reservation for June 29-July 13, 2002. I started to worry: thought that there may not be enough room. I think we will be ok though. The rooms are a bit bigger than the AS-Music though aren't they? We stayed there pretty comfortably last time, but DD was just an infant.

I'm not sure about the size of the All Stars but the studios would be more then enouhg for me, my DH, DS-10 and DD-3. Hope you have a great time. We'll miss you by about a week. Our trip is June 9th-June 21st. 142 days and counting!

WELCOME HOME!!!

You're going to absolutely love it.

And it's great to see another New Yorker making a smart move. (We're in the lead for most DVC members.;) )

Be sure to come here with your questions.

I think you will be quite comfy in the studio. We had loads of people in one once at BWV (within occupancy limits of course) while staying on cash before our purchase. There was my husbands parents, my husband, myself and our kids who were 3 and 15 months at the time (occupancy was 5 plus a baby exactly what we were :) ). We had a studio plus. Granted it was a bit tight, but really not bad at all. Thankfully, we all get along great, so it was not a problem at all! I am now hooked on the 1 and 2 bedrooms since purchasing, but I will more than likely stay in a studio sometime in the future. Have a great trip! You will love VWL!!!

Congratulations and Welcome Home :)

Congratulations and welcome home!

Welcome! We just purchased at VWL last year (and are planning a small add on), but fell in love with WL when it first opened. The studio is definitely bigger than AS, plus the refrig, microwave, etc. Ask to see the 1 or 2 BR units when you're there. We made our first trip hom' in a 1 BR (just the 2 of us) and were stunned at the luxury of all that space, plus the convenience of the W/D, jacuzzi, and kitchen. We purchased plenty of points to stay in a studio, but now feel like we can never go back to that size accomodations ----who would have ever thought! A studio seems wonderful until you get a taste of a 1 BR. Have a great trip.

Congratulations and welcome home.

So far we have only stayed at OKW in a one bedroom but, they also have a sleeper sofa and it was huge. Our then 4 and 6 year olds were very comfortable sleeping on it. I think the sleeper sofas will be the same size in the studios so you will be fine.

WLV are lovely - u will have a great time.
