Repositioning Cruises & Parking

Has anyone heard how parking is to be handled for the repositioning cruises? As an example, if I were to take the 5/14 FL to CA cruise, do we just leave the car at the Disney Port Canaveral terminal for the 2+ weeks of cruise and flight back? What about the other way?

I would think if you are coming from MI that you would be better to get a flight from MI to FL and then CA to MI. The added days of driving, plus the cost of parking for that long would add up in days and $$$.

We are thinking the FL to CA...we live in FL..and think we will get a one way rental car to the port...and then fly back to our home from CA.

Hey Cap,
We're thinking of the FL-CA cruise as well. That would be nice to see you there. Most likely we would fly to FL from Flint (I know you are closer to Detroit Metro), and then fly back from CA. I don't know what we'd do about cars at airports. Flints parking is a whole lot cheaper than Detroits, but we may have to fly back to Detroit from CA. We'll see. My BIL and his family are in San Diego, so we'd spend some time with them after the cruise.

Most likely we'd get a one way rental to Port Canaveral as well. It was our cheapest option last time.

Definately 2 one way flights. You'd have to have 1 one way flight even if you drove. Add in the parking, hotels along the drive, etc, and you pretty much have evened out the cost. On airline websites there is a place to click for different options. We have booked flights landing in one place and returning home from a different place and the cost was about the same as a true round trip.

if we decide to do the CA to FL, we'll have someone give us a ride to the port & pick us up at the airport.

don't know what parking will cost at the port in CA.
