Reports from Disapalooza??

Here's my report: I was at home, three states away, following along on Twitter and Facebook and becoming more and more jealous by the minute, to the point where it bordered on resentment.

I'm just kidding about the resentment part. Not the jealousy part, though.

It was fantastic! I was solo and had a wonderful time meeting the Podcast Team and so many wonderful Diser's.

I honestly think my camera and phone stayed in my pocket most of the time since I was so busy visiting with people. I didn't realize that until just now........ Oh well, I guess that means I'll have to do another one someday. LOL

A friend of mine was there. She and her hub had a blast

One interesting pic she sent me showed a cash register at one of the places selling hot butter beer. The pic was from around 10:30, so a little over an hour into it

The register was already up to over $3000.00

That's a lot of butterbeer

Right there with you KingLlama. My facebook feed was swamped with DISapalooza posts as so many of my friends were there and we weren't. Jes, if if makes you feel a tiny bit better, I'm 7 states away .

Butterbeer... hot and cold...was complimentary.

Not one guest paid for Butterbeer.

The only thing that needed to be paid for was alcohol and Coke products.

Perhaps the register had a running total for the night just to track inventory for their systems and this is what the retail cost would have been had everyone been paying...

I know that Bars/Pubs do that here, especially when there is a Tab on the bar for an event for example, that way once the tally reached the limit, people can be advised.

Or it can be a totally made up number.

Perhaps, but I still would assume there would be a tally for inventory purposes. the $ figure was irrelevant to the party, but could still be an indicator of how many butterbeers were served.

I have a bunch of pics and some videos on my phone from my whole long weekend at the parks. I just got home this afternoon and still need to load then on the computer, once I do I'll be sure to post them.

I had a great time. The three hours went by SO fast.

When I took a bottle of water from the table set up there was a Team Member tabulating each time a bottle was taken. I also noticed the Butter Beer and Ice Cream registers being used.

I only had one ice cream sundae that night. My goal was three. LOL
