REPORTING LIVE FROM...Home! :(

I actually find myself coming home and checking to see what you and your family have done.....I am riveted to your posts and awesome pictures. I may be depressed when your trip ends. This is by far the best "LIVE" trip report I've read.....others may differ but this is mine. :thumbsup2

Funny thing happened to my family and I last year. We rode Soarin' 8 times and the safari at Animal Kingdom 11 times!!!! We went for 9 days [Aug 2-11]. It seemed so "not busy" and we just took advantage. We would go to get FP's for Soarin' and the wait would be 15 minutes. So we'd ride it and then when we were done, the wait was still 15 minutes and we'd ride it again - and then come back to use our FP's. Weird but awesome! Same thing happened at AK. I have over 500 pictures from our safari trips last year.

Keep enjoying your stay. By the way, Yankees won 4-3 - really good game. Big Yankee fans here too!

Great view from Narcoossee's! And I'm enjoying catching up on the live updates, it makes me feel like I'm there. :)

More about our busy epcot day later but first, eeyore needs a drink! But which one...which one?

Thank you so much for the extraordinary compliment! It warms my heart to know you are.loving my report!

We are able to ride everything we want to with minimal waits because of good touring ans and effective use of fastpass, though with the new enforcement rules we are criss-crossing parks a lot which is way to hard after noon. We are not finding low crowds at all. By 10:30 the Soarin' standby was 45 minutes and at 5:00 Maelstrom was 30 minutes. To us that seems pretty crowded. I'm curious...did you use a guide? How did you decide which park to visit each day? Any specific touring plans? Because i want whatever you used!

Thank goodness about the Yankees. Hopefully this puts them back on a roll!

You are here with is in spirit, DDW! I thought of you when i took that pic with all the ducks outside of Samoa! Thanks for sticking with us!

So we got to M:S by 9:31 and the kids got on the standby line posted 10 minutes. DH and i respect the awesomeness of this ride but we can't go on it because it would physically ruin our day. We've done it a few times when the kids were little and needed us...but we felt sick for a while afterwards. DH enjoys the games, so he played while i headed to the ladies' room. It was at this point that i realized how far the restrooms are from the exit of M:S. Unusual planning flaw!

By the time they were done it was time to use our fps at Soarin so criss-cross again...entered the fp line at 10. The standby at that point was 45 minutes and people were getting on it. We got to experience it from the middle of the second row of the middle section. Here is eeyore on the best seat in Soarin':

After our second flight the kids and i went to experience Captain Eo. DH was a little queasy from 2 flights on Soarin so he went to do some shopping. I remember CE from when it first came out and i am also an MJ fan so this attraction has some sentimental value to me. I love the 80's hair and styles and I'm cheesy enough to appreciate the message of the show so i really enjoyed it. The kids get a kick out of it too in.a this is so ridiculously cheesy sort of way.

After Eo it was time to check in for our 11:30 lunch at Canada. We were a little early but i wanted to make sure we didn't miss the opening song. It was adorable! We had a nice lunch and then watched O Canada! explored Morocco and Japan, saw the fife & drums voices of liberty (our favorite) and 3pm American adventure. Ran into our neighbors and had a great conversation. We had been wondering when we would bump into someone we know...we always do!

On the way out of WS we stopped at karamell kuche for a snack...well technically 6 snacks! We wanted to ride Maelstrom 1 more time but the wait was 30 minutes so we kept walking to ellen's energy adventure. We are big ellen fans and this is a sentimental favorite. Last ride on the way out was spaceship earth. Now we have 3 new postcards from the future. Those things just crack us up every time.

We stopped to see our leave a legacy and that is always fun. Monorail back was uneventful. We waited about 8 minutes and the ride was about 8 minutes. We got back to the room by 6:30. DH showered and we went over to check into dinner at 'Ohana. I was stressed about getting back to epço for illuminations since our first viewing was so soggy. Whole we were eating the skies opened up again with lots of.lightning which took the pressure off. Now the perfect opportunity to relax in the room for the night.

Tomorrow is rope drop at dhs.

I am loving these live reports! I am getting really excited for our trip now!

It looks like eeyore is having a blast!

Speaking of eeyore...have you seen any eeyore pillow pets in any of the shops at the Poly? DD wants one and I have requested the IPO get one for DD as. "welcome gift"! I am hoping they are able to get her one,

Do they have the Halloween merchandise out yet?

Enjoy the rest of your trip and thanks for sharing with us!! I will be following along :)

Yes I've seen them all over!

Hmmmm I wonder what cocktail Eeyore was in the mood for at 'Ohana/Poly??? That's so cute! :)

Now you have answered a burning question: How long does it take to get from TTC to Epcot. Now I know! ;)

Hi BreezysMom! So happy to see you here! You are lucky you will be here in one week! I

We saw the eeyore pillow pets in the shop at the pooh ride and also at world of disney. We didn't notice them anywhere else but we really weren't looking. I believe Dani when she says they are everywhere.

As for halloween, we have seen a pin set but nothing else. Last year we were here August 29 and during our stay more and more merchandise and decorations came out. Maybe you will see more next week.

Thanks for following!

Way too much food! I'm glad we tried dxdp for ourselves but we won't be doing it again.

I will take pics if i see them today. Sorry we missed you at the pool yesterday. Couldn't pull ourselves away from Epcot.

Poor eeyore skipped the cocktail. He wanted to save all possible room for dinner...he already wasn't so hungry from lunch and caramel snacks!

8 minutes maybe 8.5. If there is a slow monorail ahead of you maybe a few. More. The wait is longer than the resort monorail though especially if you just miss one.

Good AM :). Still recovering from a great dinner @ Yachtsman last night - sooooo full :). We are also heading to DHS today then Cape May for dinner. It's going to be another great day!

Have fun at DHS! We extended our cabana to 5 yesterday because everyone was having such a good time. Then we hit DTD for some shopping and dinner.

please tell me how you like Cape May. We are eating there for the first time next month.
Thanks

We wanted to leave the room at 7:50 but didnt leave until 7:57. When we got to the bus stop at 8:00 the transportation guy in the white hat (really nice dcp kid named Matt) told us that the dhs bus had come 5 minutes ago so we might have to wait up to 20 minutes. We waited until 8:22. We saw 3 ak buses while we waited. The dhs bus had come from CR and was standing room only! Moral of this tale is arrive at your bus stop before 8!
