There are always a lot of threads on this board about strollers and which ones to use and which ones to rent and where to rent them from... Hopefully this thread will be helpful to many.

We've returned from our trip to Disney, so I have some info to share. I also want to thank everyone who gave me advice on strollers; I got a lot of good advice from this board.

We had a fabulous experience with Orlando Stroller Rentals. We rented a Baby Jogger City Classic Double and absolutely loved it! The one bad thing about it is that it is really heavy and clunky to fold to get on and off the bus, but we stayed at Fort Wilderness and only had to take a bus to Animal Kingdom - the rest of the parks are accessible by boat or Monorail, which don't require that we fold the stroller.

Our 52" 60lb seven year old fit perfectly in it, and ended up riding a lot. Every time we walked by kids crammed into their uncomfortable hard plastic Disney park rental stroller, I couldn't help feeling a bit smug :thumbsup2 The Baby Jogger City Classic is fantastic! I highly recommend it and Orlando Stroller Rentals. You'll never go back to park rental strollers again.

Here are a bunch of pictures of my kids in the stroller for reference:

If I may ask, how are the Orlando Stroller Rental strollers marked?

I think I see a little sign on the bottom in some of your pictures. Is that it?

I only ask because I'm planning on taking my City Mini on our trip and since I know Orlando Stroller Rentals rents a lot of those I want to make sure mine looks different.

Thanks!

Yep, there is a laminated yellow and orange sign hanging off the back at the bottom. It says "The X Family". I only saw a handful of City Minis and City Classics with the rental signs on them the week we were there.

I make my own sign out of a 8x10 then have it laminated at Kinkos. punch a couple holes in it and attach to our BJ city elite with zip ties to the top horizontal bar not the actual handle so it makes the sign higher. it makes a nice easy sign to find our stroller. plus the OSR ones are near the bottom of the strollers.

thank you!!! these photos are really helpful! I **think** we are doing the city mini double, as our oldest child is 40 pounds and 47 inches. But we're consider the larger double too.

your kids are adorable!

I own a BJ City Elite Single that I just adore. While big and bulky it does collapse easy even my eight year old DD will sit in it if she is tired

Thanks for the review and the photos!! very helpful!

We are staying at POFQ in October - so we will have to travel pretty much everywhere by bus. We were planning on renting one of these double strollers (we have a 4 year old and a one year old) but is it going to be too much to get on and off the buses all the time? Maybe we should just bring our Maclaren (smaller single stroller) and make due with that?

THX, Jenn

The City Mini Double is supposed to be a LOT lighter, so if you go with one of those it should be much easier. A 4 year old an a 1 year old should fit comfortable in one, from what I've seen of them.

This is too funny.
When you said photos of Big Kid strollers, it brings back memories of two cousins That shall "remain nameless" as the double stroller that was rented on property (for one young child and all gear!!) was "used" by two young teenagers who sat in it as they were "so exhausted" Yeah, they were joking, but we got some Good Pictures and I still mention it to both of them..:lmao:..they better be good or ELSE I am posting them.....:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

Disney... Family........ Fun........ Memories...what could be better............

OMG that thing is huge. :scared1:

I really hope families that decide to rent those things plan to avoid the buses.

Thanks for posting - I'm thinking about doing that this year but bring one umbreall for the airport and rent a single. Have the 4 yo use the umbrell in the park and the 2 year old gets the good rented one for sleeping. My 8 year olds can walk (there's 2 of them and they're heavy!) and I'm old...

We rented a double last year from OSR and it was fine. We rode the buses with no problem. It folds up and becomes very compact. Just don't load the pockets with alot of stuff cause THAT is a pain to unload before folding the stroller up. We caught on to that after the first couple of days.:rotfl::rotfl: they deliver and pick up to your resort--give you rain covers--and you can get insurance if you are worried about it being stolen. The only thing missing was cup holders:)

. The only thing missing was cup holders:)

We use a Katadyn filtered water bottle at the parks ('cause the water there is nasty), and we attached it to the frame with carabiners. My stroller at home has the nice storage/shelf/cupholder area right by the handle, so it took me a couple days to get used to not having that, but in the end I found I could hang most things on carabiners if I got creative.

Anyone have pictures of this folded? How would it be on the buses/to gate check at the airport. I am looking into buying a new/different stroller and at the moment am torn between this and the Maclaren Techno Double.

I have the BJ citi mini double. It is the easiest stroller I've ever folded up. Is the classic different? I love my double citi mini so much that's what i rented on vacation from Magic Strollers. They had great service BTW. I plan to use them again in Aug.

Thanks for the reply :-)

A pic of it folded would be great, I looked on the website, it still looks quite big there to get on/off the buses. I don't know why I am almost the most nervous about this part of our trip more than anything? Bring a stroller/don't? Rent one, what size? Ugh.....

thanks for the review.
I need to place my order for a rental.
probably going to bring one from home and rent a single.
