Report: No more outside golf cart rental as part of rv rental package.

Agree with Teamubr 100%. Disney does not want negative reviews and taking disciplinary action on a guest is a guaranteed complaint.

Damn shame about Rusty being chased. Good thing he is in such great shape and was able to stay ahead of the golfcart until its batteries ran out.

Has there been any updates to disneys policy? would love a cart for our upcoming trip.

The lack of rules enforcement is part of Disneys corporate culture of non confrontation. DW and I have had many conversations over the years about the lack of enforcement at the Fort and the parks, it has gotten to the point where it is part of our discussion about where we want to spend our money. Its not the CM fault, this comes from way higher. Why in the world would you risk getting thrown under the bus by your boss for trying to enforce rules ? If the CM's dont have anyone to back them up its pointless.

Hi everyone! Another quick questions, and sorry for bringing up this topic again. I can't find anything definite or recent regarding if we rent a camper from Greenberg, (and have them deliver it to the Fort because we are flying in and will not have a vehicle) are we allowed to have their golf cart at the fort or is it totally not allowed now? thanks to anyone who knows!

You may want to call Greenburg and ask about the golf carts. When we rented from Greenburg last year they only had a few golf carts, I just looked at their web site and saw no mention of golf carts so they may not do it anymore.

. . . In all my annual trips to the Fort as a family of five I've rented from an off-site vendor once (for some senior citizens in our group) and from Disney never (and never will).

1) We rent carts when we have someone in our party with really limited mobility.
2) Or, is old enough that they have BALANCE problems.
3) Otherwise, we bike-it.
4) For the price of even an off-site cart, you could buy a bike or two.
5) And, if bought second-hand, you could buy enough for the family.
. . . don't need something special
. . . The Fort is relatively flat
. . . a bike without gears is just fine
. . . even the old ones with the wide balloon tires work fine at The Fort

I'm seriously considering buying my own cart. Camping at the Fort is one of the big considerations for wanting it. I honestly would only use it a few times a year and probably can't justify the $4,000. But darn I want one. I'm wondering if the Fort will eventually ban all private carts ? Will they just keep stepping up requirements like having insurance and such to discourage people ?
