Hello all,
My wife, my almost 4 year old daughter and myself just got home from our Dis vacation and thought we would share.
Day 1 (Friday) - Arrived at Tampa airport and was greeted by my grandparents who offered to drive us from Tampa to Orlando. Had dinner and stopped at a 7-11 on the way to pick up water and some other items. Arrived at All Star Music for a quick checkin and went to the room. Once there, we dressed in our swim trunks and spent the night in the pool (only pool time during the trip) Loved the pools. Went and checked out the food court and got our mugs.
Day 2- (Saturday) - Got up and got our coffee and hot chocolate (also refilible with the mugs), booked reservations for my Daughter that night at the Neverland Club and purchased our E-night tickets. Had breakfast in the room and off to the Magic Kingdom. It was a little crowded, first our pic in front of the castle and saw the show in front of the caslte. My little one loved it, until the villians showed up. Got up to go and the backpack fell off of the top of the stroller and broke the digital camera
oh well, no digital pics. Went from there to some rides waits were not that bad, the longest wait was Dumbo for about 35 min. Walked right on small world twice since the wife and daughter loved it.
Did mostly Fantasy land, fronteir land and adventure land that day. Daughter was afraid of the new Tiki room, thunder and loud. She was OK on the jungle boats, but love the country bears. As we went out of the country bears, we just caught the parade. The parade stopped at the point where the princesses were in their snowglobes, my daughter loved it (I liked the villian float myself). Went back to music for a quick rest.
Got up, had dinner and brought the daughter to the Neverland Club. It took us an hour to get from All star Music to the Polly resort (lesson learned), my wife and I took the monorail back to the park and as we are seeing the castle past the Floridian we saw the lights go out at the castle
we are missing the fireworks. Wife and I book it to catch a few as well as the finally, it was cool. On to do a few other things by ourselves, crowds were tiny and Spectromagic started at 9, my wife and I were just over the bridge into Liberty sqare, sat on the ground and watched the parade go by at kids level right at the ropes. Quite cool.
Then we headed to do e-night. Splash Mtn was first, walked right in and sat down, no wait. Off to big thunder, again no wait, right on and we were able to jump into an empty row once we were off so we would not have to walk through the non-existant line. Then off to Haunted mansion, Alien Encounter, Buzz Lightyear. No lines in any of them. Had to go to pick up the daughter for 11:30 so left the wife for shopping. Got back and went to the hotel room to find my daughters stuffed animal in the window with a tigger keychain we had.
