So my DH dropped the turntable plate that goes in our microwave and it shattered. I am looking for a replacement and if I go to the official GE site, it is $100:crazy2: Even the replacement part sites are super high....any insight for me??? The darn microwave was less then $200 8 months ago, I hate to spend more than 50% of it's value for one part!
TIA

Check for a restore (Habitat for Humanity) and see if they have one. And Craigslist. Someone might be getting rid of one, you could buy it and just use the plate.
Or try eBay.

I hate to say it, but it's probably cheaper to just buy a new microwave. I can't imagine paying more than $100 for a very nice, high end one these days. (Of course, we have a seconds store, which sells stuff that has damaged boxes for a fraction of the cost in the stores and they always have Microwaves).

We just had to replace our microwave, but kept the turntable plate. I had no idea they had value but DH was going to ebay it. Ours is 12 1/2 inches in diameter. PM me if you want it.

If you are looking for an over the range microwave it will cost around $200 for a lowend one.

Those glass replacement plates can be found at Target, Walmart and Bed bath and beyond. Should be less than $30.
