Replace immediately or sell at next yardsale?

I would love an appliance garage. I asked DH to build one for me but he insists it's too hard :( I think he just doesn't want to do it and I guess (looking around at all the half finished projects around the house) I shouldn't push!

I'm wondering what you didn't like about the Magic Erasers? We have big dogs which means we get dirt on the bottom part of our walls as well as drool from time to time. I have always used a bucket of water with soap in it and I found myself scrubing and scrubing to get the dirt and drool off. With the magic erasers, I just wet them a little and start wiping the walls clean. These are heavensent for me! They even took off accidentally pen markings my daughter did on the wall.

Definitely look at the other versions if you don't have pets. I think the yellow Dyson was priced about $100 less than the purple animal, but there are less attachments. Read the consumer reports too. I do believe that in addition to the extra attachments, the purple animal Dyson also had a little more suction power. I've had mine for over a year now and absolutely love it! If it can survive my household of 2 newfoundlands, a chocolate lab, a shep mix, a Sheltie and 2 kids, it can survive anywhere! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: My only complaint with it is that I still have to get hair off of the beater bar, but I would have that with any sweeper.

Love the smart spin. I have gone from freezer to microwave to dishwasher (top rack) with no problem. I also bought the ice cream gadget (turns hard ice cream into soft) and discovered the trick was to keep the cylinder head in the freezer. I hope that helps.

tinan, I am a bit of a neatnik and think the reason that the Magic Erasers did not work for me is the fact that I do not really have any dirt (LOL). It is just me and my hubby. I always have preferred to paint rather than wash down walls and such anyway.

L107ANGEL, I am going to have to look at those storage units again. I would be able to reclaim about a third of my cabinets if I could get rid of all the storage stuff I have.

jenr812, maybe you should ask your hubby to do half as many projects but finish them? I am so lucky in that my hubby always finishes every project he starts but then he has never started one yet. Has only been 34 years.

patrenoe, it is just the two of us and I still cook in bulk. Especially messy things like BBQ ribs. I pack them up in freezer bags and have them on hand for when I do not feel like cooking. Saves a bunch of money in that we do not eat out much and I buy whatever is on sale in bulk.

I thought of another thing I have that I love. It is a pie crust bag (you can do a search on those words and see what I mean). I give them as presents and everyone loves them. It is a round plastic bag with a zipper that you put your pie crust dough in and just roll it out. No muss, no fuss. Did I mention that I am a neatnik? :rotfl: Is why I use a breadmaker just for the dough and then I take it out and bake in the oven.
