hi i am a newbie to renting.
question does the renter get theme park passes, water park passes, hopper passes included?
thanks in advance

That's between you and the person you rent from. Usually, you are on your own for admission tickets.

the reason i am confused is a comparison on mousesavers.com that compares a a five night stay in may2007 in a standard room at wilderness lodge (rack rate $1477), a villa at same (rack rate $1945) with a villa obtained with rental points (65 points at $10/point= $650).
if the rack rates include theme park passes it is not a very fair comparison.
am i missing something

The rack rates don't include passes either. The only way to get tickets "included" is to buy a package which would be the rack rate PLUS another amount.

That 5 night stay in 2010 will be a bit different since they reallocated points for all the resorts. VWL points seemed to have more taken from the weekend and added to the weekday points.

If you rent a reservation from a member, you won't have any control over the reservation. The member will fully control it and you won't be able to confirm it with Disney. And, should there be a problem, it will be between you and the member. So you may be paying a whole lot less, but you are giving up any control over the reservation. Plus if you have to cancel or reschedule, you may lose everything you have already paid the member and not be able to reschedule.

The term 'rack rate' refers to the cost of a hotel room, and by definition doesn't include tickets, dining, or anything else. In the example on Mousesavers, they're comparing a room-only reservation for a WL room, a room-only reservation for a VWL villa, and the cost of renting points for a VWL villa.

Tickets are only included in the rate if you book a package that includes them.
