My parents who will be joining me for a Disney vacation will be needing scooters to get around the parks as they will not be able to walk it. Did anyone have a good experience with renting one from an offsite company? I believe that if you rent one from Disney themselves, you have to return it every night and we would like to have the scooters for the length of the trip. Thanks everyone!

We have used Randy's Mobility twice and have a third reservation in the works for my MIL. He doesn't have rights to drop off the scooter at bell services, but we prefer that because he meets us quickly once we call, and he teaches my MIL how to drive the scooter and stays until she is comfortable. We also like that his scooters easily come apart to fit in our rental car because busses with scooters suck.

A second vote for Walker Mobility.

You can only use a Disney Scooter in the Disney parks. Renting a scooter from an outside vendor allows you to use it at the resort.

Be sure the motel room will fit two scooters.

You can use rented scooters at all the parks. See them all the time. Don't know who told you that you'd have to use a Disney scooter at the parks. Folks also bring their own scooters to the parks.
The poster meant that you can't take a Disney scooter outside of the parks. Hence, you can only use a scooter that you rented at Disney while you are there. Once you leave, you have to leave it.

Thank you all so much for your help. This helps a lot.

It seems Walker Mobility's prices are less for extended use.

I have one more question, I was reading that some of the scooters will only last about 6 hours. How do you charge it if you are at the park? Are there places to do that?

There are places. Basically, you simply need to find an outlet. But you are without the scooter while it is charging.

BUT, as long as you follow good battery care, your battery should last all day.

Turn off while you are stationary. Even in line. So, any time you stop, for more than, a minute (some say 10 seconds, but I think that is ridiculous), turn off the scooter.
