renting scooters outside of Disney?

Has anyone rented a scooter outside of disney and had it delivered to your hotel? If so how was your experience?

I used Randy's last Dec for my grandmother and mother and they delivered it before I landed (family came later). Good work. The sticky on the main disabilities lists Randy's, Scootaround adn Scootarama.

Many people here have rented from off-site and the responses have been positive. In almost all situations either therre have been no problems or any problems were minor and remidied immediately.

Yes, there have been people here who have had problems but these have tended to be very few and far between.

I personally rented a Disney ECV once and then used one of the off-site companies continuously until I moved here and then bought my own ECV. You will find that the off-site companies are much less expensive than Disney and the ECVs are much more maneuverable.

I usually rent from Walkers and all but one time it was waiting for me at the resort and the time is wasn't, there was some kind of mix up or a slow delivery driver. This time, I am renting from Randy's because of the great rate I got. Much easier to deal with the prices from offsite and nice ot have at the resort at the end of a busy day/late night.

We have a reservation from buena vista scooters that are located right on the Boardwalk. It is $40/day and they are going to deliver it to the Beach Club that morning. I hope it all works out ok. We are renting it for 3 days. Good luck!

All of the places listed in post #2 of the disABILITIES FAQs thread have had good feedback from DIS posters over the years. Nothing is ever 100%, and there have been some negative experiences occasionally from all the companies. The great majority have been positive though.
