Renting pts and staying @ OKW- questions...

Ok-
We are renting pts and staying in august--- I have a few questions....

1. We plan on buying our park hoppers when we check in, will that be a problem and will they put them on our room keys? We are a party of 6 and I wondered if we would all have our own?
2. We are also going to be on the dining plan, do we pay for that at check in and can we pay for our portions seperately? (I am taking my husband and 2 kids, and my sister is bringing a friend.)
3. I have a 2 yr old and 9 yr old and I want to make sure the 9 yr old's dining credits are on my room key--does that make any sense? Or how do we go about making sure there isn't any confusion?
4. Also, we want to use ME, how do we set that up?

No problem with buying park hoppers and getting them on your keys.

You may or may not be able to pay for your portion of the DDP separately. If you are all checking in at the same time, it probably won't be a problem. But if you want to pay your share now, and have your sister pay her share when she gets in later, that may be a problem.

The credits are stored in a cenrtal computer. Everybody's key has access to all the credits. Each person could use all the credits. If you are worried about one family using the other family's credits, you'll have to track it on your own.

To set up ME, you call the owner you are renting from, give them the info, and have them set it up for you.

1. Why not buy your tickets ahead of time from a discount broker and save a few bucks? You can have them added to your room keys.

2. DDP is billed by room.

3. DDP credits are pooled by room.

4. Contact the DVC owner that you rented from.

5. Have a wonderful trip.

i assume this means you've already told the DVC owner you're renting from that you want the DDP? while you pay at check-in, you can't just show up at check-in and add it...just FYI in case that wasn't previously clear.

Also make sure both family groups understand that tracking the dining points is essential. You don't want someone to think they can use them all. They need to understand that each person gets only one table service, one counter service, and one snack credit a day.

I think we're all assuming the six of you are all in one two-bedroom.

However, if your sister and her friend are in a separate room, that will simplify both paying for DDP and the DDP credits greatly. In that case, your DDP credits would all be on your room keys, and your sister's would be completely apart from yours on her room key.

Yes we are all staying together and arriving together. I will just have to explain to everyone how the ddp credits work--I think (hope), it will all work out great!
