Hi Everyone, Thanks for all the great info that I get from you all. Now, I have another question...How does one find out info about renting points to stay at a DVC resort? This is new to me. Thank you. :sunny:

Check out the DVC rent & trade board below. It should give you a good start, and you can get answers to your questions there, too. :)

Probably your first piece of investigation is to work out how many points you'd need and how it would be possible to minimise the # of points you'd need. Rule #1 in points usage is to minimise the amount of weekends you use, either by adjusting your vacation dates or by using alternate accommodation if possible around the dates you are working with. One of my "tricks" would be if I was arriving relatively late ( after 6.00 ) into Orlando on Friday or a Saturday would be to check into an offsite hotel for that night. Coming from the UK as I did then, most flights arrived late afternoon US time (close to midnight UK time) so we'd be pretty tired after a 10 hour flight. Just grab something to eat and head to bed. Get up early the next morning, drive down to WDW, pre-check into the DVC hotel and either head for the parks or make use of the hotel facilities (pool etc). IMHO I'd only have slept anyway so paying 25-30 points ($250-300) for a DVC unit when I could just pay $40-50 for a cheap motel for the night doesn't make economic sense.
Anyway here's a link to the points calculator. Play around with the resorts, room types and dates that you're interested in, you'll be suprised how much difference it can make if you are a little flexible in your approach. http://www.wdwinfo.com/resort/dvcpoint.cfm

If you haven't done so, here's a link to the main DVC boards, if you search through the topics I'm sure you'll find many posts asking about the proceedures for renting points http://www.disboards.com/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=28#DVC-MAIN-discussion

Finally here's a link to the points for rent board, it does seem at the moment there are a lot more requests for points than there are posts offering points, but I'm sure you'll still find points for rent that are at a price that makes for a great deal on some excellent accommodation. http://www.disboards.com/forumdisplay.php?f=29
