Not sure if this is the right forum for this question but I don't know where else to put it. Has anyone ever rented from David's before? Was your experience good? Is it a legit business? We have a reservation though disney for a room only 2 bedroom villas at BCV and I noticed that if I rent the points though him it is about $2000 less!:scared1: I love the idea of it, but I don't want to show up and have no where to stay!! I have never rented points before. I am looking in November so I am planning ahead of the game a little bit. He may or may not have it still available, but I am very tempted to try. Thank you so much!

I've not used his service, but he is legit. I have never seen a negative post regarding his services, only very positive.

Just remember that there are some differences renting direct from Disney and renting a reservation made through a DVC owner.

Generally reservations made through owners (and broker sites, like David's) are non-refundable. And you will not receive daily housekeeping services. With a DVC stay, if your stay is 7 nights or less, you'll receive fresh towels and a trash removal service on day 4. If your stay is 8 nights or more, you'll receive full housekeeping on day 4, and trash/towel service on day 8. Those are the only housekeeping services you'll receive.

Other than that, it is pretty much the same as renting through Disney.

5 nights. So I guess just the trash and fresh towels then. That is ok. I can wash the towels myself. Do they give you detergent in the villas or would I need to bring that myself? Thanks.

In the 1 and 2 bedrooms, they provide a box. We bring our own.

And the box is a one load size, like from a laundromat vending machine.

We have to buy the fragrance free laundry detergent so we order it to be delivered with our groceries from garden grocers!

Also the inventory is different, just because it is available to book with Disney Reservations does not mean that David will be able to book it.

First he has to have a DVC member with points to rent, then there has to be DVC availability. The points do not belong to David, he is a go between a DVC member and a renter.

Nov. can be hard to book for DVC at certain resorts especially BCV as it is small and popular. Usually you need 11 months for certain times of the year and at other at least 7 months out.

We just secured a reservation this weekend through David's for a seven day trip at Animal Kingdom in Dec. I have no complaints. They have been very helpful. We go to Disney every year but have never rented before. We got a one bed savannah view for about $2,000 less than a room would have cost rack room rate.
