If I rent points from a DVC member do I then have to purchase park tickets and dining seperately or can I get them as a package deal like I could through Disney directly?

You are on your own for park tickets - you may purchase them anywhere you like, for any number of days. Tickets are available at the resort at check in if you prefer to puchase them there.

You may add the Dining Plan to your points reservation (if your stay begins on or after April 1, 2006) by calling the number for Member Services that is on the confirmation letter the owner sends you. Or you can ask the owner to add it for you. You must order the DP for everyone in your party for the entire length of your stay. You must add it to your reservation at least 48 hours in advance. You pay for it at check in.

Just remember that renting points is not like going through a travel agent. These are members who are just renting out thier vacation timeshare alotment for the year. They must be the ones who make the reservation for you, and that is all they can do.
