Renting Points Question

Hi,
We haven't even been home yet since becoming members and I've already been bitten by the add-on bug. Reading all the posts about this incentive - this does seem to be the time to do it. We've got 3 under the age of 9 and I'm thinking that 5 years from now that studio is gonna be getting a bit tight. ;)

Since we really don't neeeed these points right now I would like to rent them. From what I can tell, as long as I keep current on the Rental board and answer posted requests, I should be able to rent ~120/year from $7-10/pt. From all of you experienced renters: Is this a relatively safe assumption?
TIA

yes - but please try for $10 - there are generally more people wanting to rent than renters.

that is exactly what I was wondering. Whether it was a renter or a rentee's market.
Thanks Spicycat

I'm an occassional renter Please don't ruin the market $10 is very reasonable, I've seen 8.50 but I wouldn't trust those people why sell for less? I've seen people get rid of 600 points in a matter of days

when I notice that there are more DVC member trying to rent their points - I just post on a couple of resort posts about renting DVC points - that is generally all it takes.

kept in mind that this website has alot of watchers - people who won't post but are definitely watching it.

of course then I certainly couldn't rent my points at that time - that is not right.

kept in mind new people are always showing up here. Some never heard of DVC and certainly didn't know about renting points.

I definitely will research at the time and only rent for the going rate or higher. I certainly would not want to lower it. Thanks for all the responses. It definitely seems that renting points when they are not being used will not be a problem.
Thanks,
