renting points in Jan. 2004

I'm interested in staying at the BCV for 8 nights in Jan. 2004. Is it possible to rent this many points from a DVC owner? How much would it cost? Plans are not definite yet but we are considering arriving on Jan 23. I think we would like a one bedroom unit. Any comments on cost and how to rent would be appreciated.

The calculator says it would be 245 points for a 1 BR at BCV for 8 nights. The normal rental is $10.00 per point. Hope this will help in your decision. BTW many people can rent you that many points. Regards, Rich

If you could start your vacation 1 day earlier it would be 222 points for the same amount of nights. As a matter of fact if you could start it 2 days earlier you could do 9 nights for 244 points,just some food for thought.

As far as cost of renting points, the going price lately is $10 per point. Some DVC members charge more, some less (usually if they have to use the points by a certain date). Post your request on the DVC Rent/Trade forum and I'm sure you'll get many responses.
