Renting Points - Help

I am new to the concept of renting points and I am wondering if there is any information that a DVC member can tell me about how the buying contract works between the DVC member and renter. We want to make sure that we buy points from someone who is legimate and someone we can trust. What should we be aware of when entering into an agreement to rent points to safeguard ourselves.

It is a dream for our family to go to Disney World and we think the point system may work for us but we want to get information in the process to stay safe. I appricate your time!

It has posts from a variety of people, so you get numerous viewpoints.

It is also important to read the FAQ Stickies at the top of the Rent/Trade board. They give a lot of essential advice, including how to advertise appropriately on that board for a rental.
