Renting points and upgrading

We are renting points for WLV (1 BR) in a few weeks. We've been on a waitlist for a 2BR (at any DVCs) but nothing has come up. If, when we actually arrive, there is a 2BR available, can I upgrade with cash since I don't own points? Is this even an option?

Nope, not an option.

A points reservation can only be upgraded using points. Points & cash mixed together to cover a reserved night are not an option.
