Renting points and hurricanes...

I have rented points from a DIS'er for Oct 3-8. I have paid in full. My question is what happens if yet another hurricane comes? Let's say he has the ability to switch my ressie for a few weeks/months down the line...what are the chances that if I have to reschedule, BCV (or any DVC) will have availability?

ETA: we just have a studio reserved.

It's hard to say, it would depend on the dates. From what I've heard, most of the DVC resorts are pretty booked up for the rest of the year. The owner's use year would also play into a reschedule, although member services has been good about returning points to members who cancel during the past 2 hurricanes.
