HEY,
Do you know if you can rent jet skies or waverunners at the GF or anywhere in WDW. We were at the GF and we saw two people riding them and wondered if you could rent them
I don't think Disney would rent these out. I think what you saw were the water patrol people and only they use these crafts to patrol the lake. You can rent out pontoons or water mice. I could be wrong. Anyone else have an answer?
I just think jet skies and wave runners are to much for these lakes.
YES, you can rent them, but only at the Contemporary. They are on the expensive side... around $100 per 30/60 mins... not quite sure of the time frame, or the exact rates, but they are up there.
I cant remember the exact price, but it was quite expensive... but then again, when you consider the unit, plus insurance, and all that... it all makes sense. But it's still gosh darned expensive!
Originally posted by Tikiman Yes they did start renting the new Sea Doo 4 strokes last summer at the Contemporary. It is about time they got some jet watercraft.
When the WL first opened, they offered Sea-Doo jet boats for rent @ $45/hour (back when water sprites were $24/hour), but they were governed so that they were not much faster than the sprites. It kind of took the fun out of those things!
Actually the Sea Doo boats they had back then only had rev limiters to keep from over revving the motor but they were not very fast since they had the same engine the XP watercraft had and it was trying to push a lot more weight. The new Sea Doo watercraft they have are a 3 cylinder 4 stroke with 155 HP and should go faster than the water sprites sorry water mice as they are called now. They do have a throttle limiter but just bring a screw driver. I believe it is right on the handle bars.
