Looking to rent a house closes to Disney...any suggestions.
Thanks di

The first time we rented, we just searched VRBO and found a nice house in Windsor Palms. It was over Christmas we got a really good deal for 2 weeks. The next time we rented from some people who own a few houses around Disney and are from the GTA. They were excellent to work with and their houses were great, although big. How many bedroom house are you looking for? I can PM you their name and you can take a look at their website.

I rented from dreams villas, It was a fabulous place, great pool, lots of space in a secured area, and located in kissammee near lots of stores and restaurants.

We have always staid offsite at a condo or townhome while visiting Disney. I have staid in Windsor Hills 3/3 twnhome with pool that was great. Nice gated community and amenities. Ive also staid at Liki Tiki Village last year. We were in a 1 bedroom condo with full kitchen washer dryer and a fold out couch for the kids for $450. Its a timeshare community but you do NOT have to attend the timeshare presentation just FYI. There was a great waterpark, put put, paddleboats etc. It was located a bit furhter out but we stil got to the parks within 15-20 mins. The kids really loved it.

This year we rented at Windsor Palms for June. It is the sister company to Windsor Hills and same amenities just smaller and a bit older. We booked a 3/3 twnhome with pool for $680 total for the week of June 10-17 for a family of 6. There site is www.orlandosecret.com

You can search thru www.vrbo.com to rent by owner. Here are a few other sites. www.windsorhillsrent.com www. windsor-palms-florida.net both of these sites take you to the communities directly and you can send inquiry to the owners for how much it is for when you want to go.

I hope you find the perfect place for your family :)

VRBO is the best site. Search by # of bedrooms and select homes that say 5 min to Disney if you want to be closer (never takes 5 min but it's close). Best communities are windorhills/palms, Formosa gardens, Indian ridge, rolling hills, emerald isle, Indian ridge oaks(older).

You send eMails direct to owner so you can try to negotiate a price that fits your budget. usually sites have lots of pics. Many post the address so you can googleearth the home.

We've rented everything from 4 bedrooms to 7 bedrooms. Loved them all.

Have fun house hunting.

We just rented our third house a couple of weeks ago. Our first time was in the Clermont area (Mission Park) and our last two times have been in the Davenport area (Tuscan Hills & Highgate Park). We find that for the price of one week at Windsor Hills we can get two weeks in these areas and the homes are just as beautiful. We've rented 4 & 5 bedroom pool homes in gated communities. Also we always rent directly from the owners.

Here's some sites to get you started :)

http://www.lastminutevillas.net/ (this is a great site, you put in your dates and specifications and it will generate an email to send to all the owners that have availability for your dates. Owners will then email you and you can start comparing)
