Renting for June 2007

I was moments from booking 10 days at CBR when I thought I would check this out, first. We are looking to book a vacation from 6/1 to 6/10/07. I am not a DVC member, although would love to be. Okay, here are my quesitons...
1. How do I go about renting from someone?
2. How far in advance do I need to post??
3. How long is too long to wait?

I thought I would try this BEFORE we book at a moderate. We're looking at any DVC property, especially OKW, BWV, and BCV. Not sure is that is the kind of information I need to include. Thanks for help!!!! Candace

You can post on the DVC Rent/Trade Board for the resort and dates you are looking for. Check out the stickys there for posting rules.

You can post as far out as you want, although the earliest members can try booking is 11 months out from the check-out date (except for high demand times, when members often book daily to get the nights they want). You are 9 months or so out right now, so you'd be in the home resort preference period for any resort.

You should do this as soon as you know when and where you might want to stay, because it would maximize your chances of getting the place that you want.

Specify dates, resort(s), and unit size (studio, 1 bedroom, 2 bedroom, grand villa).
