Renting DVC points

I need to rent out my DVC points next year -- can anyone tell me the best way to go about doing that? Thanks for any tips in advance!!!!!

Actually, it is not that difficult to rent points right here on the DisBoard. I rented a small amount of points one year and my entire 300 points from another year on here. If you don't have enough posts on the forums you will need to pay to rent, but it was well worth it. Not only was it a lot of fun, but I met some really terrific people.

I used PayPal to handle the money, requesting 50% before I call Disney and the remainder before I delivered the confirmation to the renter. All total I think I did around 7 transactions.

Look at what other people are renting points for, then choose your price. Don't price at the high or the low point, but somewhere in between. I once had about 50 points left over and was able to rent all of them in 1 day! And there were NO broker fees.

When you call Disney to make the reservations, just be sure to tell them you are booking the reservation for a friend (although it is legal, they cringe when they hear that you are renting).

Thanks so much for the info, Denis -- however, I don't see anything on here that shows people renting points. Where do I look and/or post my points for rent? I'd like to see what others are renting their points for before I decide on an amount!!!

Since you have a very low post count here you will have to pay for a membership to use the board (http://www.wdwinfo.com/disney-vacation-club/dvcforumplan.htm). You will have to weigh the cost of that membership against using a broker to rent your points.
