Does anyone know if you rent a car from a rental place, will they deliver it to a Disney Hotel? We are heading over to Port Canaveral to hook up for a cruise and would like to rent a car to drive, but we are unsure if they will deliver a car to Disney Pop Century.

You can rent from the Car Care Center at WDW. They won't deliver the car, but they will come and pick you up. The Dolphin also has a car rental. The only car rental company that I know of that delivers is Enterprise and I've not heard of it being done at WDW.

Budget has low rates from DTD (at the Doubletree Hotel) to Port Canaveral. Budget location codes MO3 to CC5. Use BCD code S208200 and pay with your American Express card. A 7 hour compact rental, $43 all in.

You can take the Disney bus from Pop over to the DTD Marketplace bus stop. A quick walk over to the Doubletree and off you go! I did this same trip back in October 2011. Remember to drop luggage and passengers off at the ship before dropping off your vehicle at the Budget office. Much easier for all. Another note, be sure to sign up for Budget's frequent renter program, it's free and will speed you on your way.

I just noticed you are on a Christmas cruise, so I guess price is not an issue!

There are no car rental companies that will bring a car to you. You have to go to them. It all depends on where you get the best deal. I normally rent through Alamo/National at the Dolphin. Are you planning on keeping the car through your cruise??? Or are you going to return it and then rerent after the cruise?? Some car rental companies are closer to the port than others. I know that at one time Alamo/National didn't make it easy to get back and forth between the ship and the car rental office. Many people use Budget when going to port.
But, as mentioned, they are located in DTD, at the Doubletree. But....call them and see if they will send a car to pick you up at Pop...that has been the case in the past.

Regarding Enterprise, there are three locations in Orlando. None looks too close to WDW; however you can always call and see if they will deliver. Worst they can do is say no.

As goofy4tink stated, no car rental company delivers. They'll pick you up and bring you to the rental location to complete the transaction - but they're not sending out their runners in pairs, using pairs of cars and with computers to transact.

The runners aren't sales people ;).

We plan on dropping it off an then renting it after we are off. I think the downtown Disney to doubletree is the way to go.
