and if we go into a ride...we just leave it with the strollers? That doesnt seem like such a great idea. I guess I am paranoid but I could easily imagine it not being there when we get out :(.

Or....I guess there may be a special area to leave it. Mom CAN walk...its just that she is 82 and doesnt have the stamina to stand or walk for long periods of time.

We had to rent a wheelchair for my Mom this past spring. The week before we left the doctor told her she needed double knee replacement and should not be walking much. Since we had enough family members to push her the two days we were there, we opted to rent a regular wheelchair at the parks. It's cheapest to do a multi-day rental--just show the receipt each day and they deduct a day from your balance. She was asked to stay in the chair through the lines for rides up to a specific point (usually just before you get into the queue for the individual car/boat/seat). The wheelchair will have a name card on the back with your last name, and the CM will wheel it over to a waiting area (it's within the sight of the CMs at all times). The wheelchair will be moved to the exit area once your ride begins and will be waiting for you (again where CMs can see and the general public cannot access unless exiting the ride). We never left valuables with the chair, but we never felt it was in a problematic situation and had no worries. Hope things go well for you!

Thank you for your response. I actually have rented a wheelchair at an off site business so it will be there for us when we arrive and we can have it all the time including dtd. You have eased my mind about leaving it outside of the attractions.

You can also leave it with the scooters instead of the strollers if she wants to stretch her legs for a bit. They are generally in the same area, but scooter parking is smaller and closer to the entrance.

Some rides are more hassle to take a wheelchair right up to the ride (i.e. Peter Pan or SSE) if you don't absolutely need it.
