Renting a Van to WDW...where to start??

We live in West Central Illinois, about 3 hours north of St. Louis. We are a family of four, and are going to be driving to WDW this September. I would like to rent a van, but don't know where to start looking. This is all new to me.

We would need it for about 8-9 days and of course, with unlimited miles since it's only about 1,111 miles to WDW! Since my DH refuses to fly (my DD also refuses but she's small enough to drag on board) I thought we could spend the $$$$ on a more comfortable ride to the south. I do have AAA if that helps.

Any thoughts........I could use 'em!

Check Mousesavers.com for discount codes to use on rental cars. Some codes can be used outside of Orlando. I picked up a Grand Caravan El Mondo (or whatever Chrysler calls the extended version) in May for less than $200/week through Thrifty here in North Carolina.

Bringing a vcr/television combo for the drive might be a good suggestion, too, if you know someone you can borrow one from.

If you have Disney Club you can usually get some discounts from Alamo (the offical rental car company) or National. Be sure to check www.mousesavers.com for a complete list of various rental car companies and the discounts. There are alot of tips there for renting cars along with other areas to save money. After you get some ideas call you local companies and see if you can take the same discounts you can get in Orlando. Some of them are supported by Fla Tourist Bureau.

I'm in about in the same boat except our trip from West Central IN to WDW will be a family of *9* in March. (4 adults, 14, 12, 11, 7, 3). I need advise on obtaining a LARGE van. I would prefer a luxury van but a 12-seat passengar van maybe our only option.

Any advise?
