January trip. Have 2 kids: 3 and 1 :lovestruc ...will be bringing a collapsible stroller for the youngest. but was wondering what the RENTALS were like at DLAND ::MickeyMo . I was thinking I may rent one for the oldest in case he gets tired! Anyone have a photo of one??? THANK YOU ::MinnieMo [/COLOR]

I don't have a photo, but the shape is similar to jogging strollers. There are 2 large wheels at the back, and 2 small wheels at the front. I think they are $7/day. If you have a Disney Visa, you can get 2 strollers a day for free. All you have to do is go to the stroller rental and show them your credit card.

I don't have a picture of one, but I have rented them for our kids and they're actually fairly nice with a big seat, a sunshade if needed, drink holders (I think), and a big storage basket. They're easy to push around, and if I remember correctly, I think they have three wheels (one if front and two in the rear). They're green in color, and if you look at some of the photos on this site that people have taken inside the park, you'll probably see a lot of them around.

Hope that helps.

No pic and the same discription as the others, however, one tip, if you rent one take a cheap scarf (I got on for 99 cents at walmart) and tie it on to the handle of the rental stroller. This way you can find it in a sea of strollers even if it has been moved, works great.

Thank you so much everyone. :earboy2: Just a quick clarifier. I am going to Disneyland, I see mention that WDW has double rental strollers...is this for Disneyland too? :confused3

I'm not 100% sure, but I think they do have doubles. If you just have two kids and there are two adults, we find it easier to get two single strollers. The singles are easier to manuever through crowds.

We rented a stroller for the 5 days we were there for our 5 yr old who just didn't have the stamina of her older brothers. I do not recall any drink holders as one poster had mentioned (and we were there just 3 week ago) but there is a basket under and a mesh pocket on the back. It cost $8 per day but was well worth the money. I agree that it is helpful to tie something on to spot it out of the sea of strollers. We had a princess balloon attached for 2 days and that worked ok. If you turn it in because you are leaving the park mid day or something, just keep your receipt and they give you another one when you return. The same applies if it gets taken by someone else, although I don't know how often that happens. Your name is on a card on top of it to identify it. If someone deliberately stole a stroller then "a pox on their house!!!!"

In September I didn't see any doubles. Also, if someone happens to steal your stroller, you can get a new one. When you rent it they give you a receipt to hang on to so that you can get a new one if yours gets taken or if you want one at CA.

Definitely no doubles at DLR and no cup holders - but they are nice and sturdy jogging type strollers.

THANK YOU SO MUCH everyone for all the tips. :goodvibes It helps to know what you are getting into! Cant wait to go!!!!! :cool1:

Just a quick note (kind of late!) but we were able to take our stroller from CA to DL. I didn't think we were allowed to either but the nice rental lady said there is no problem with them going back and forth. They just can't leave the security area (ie Downtown Disney or shuttle area.) So we just took ours back and forth.
