Renting a scooter at Epcot

I'm looking for any advice regarding renting a scooter at Epcot just for one day. We're going with my mom, and we are planning on going around world showcase and taking our time seeing everything. She has a little trouble holding up for too long so we'd like to rent a scooter when we get there. Does Epcot have them? And if they do could anyone tell me where to go... do we need to reserve one... how much are they...

Yes, my mom rented one just at Epcot last month. When you first walk into the park, they're to the left (one of, maybe first?? building on the left.) I think they were $50, with a $20 deposit. My mom had never driven one before, however she found it pretty easy to navigate although we stayed away from large crowds etc.

Also, you can't reserve one, it's first come first serve, but as ling as you're not going during a really busy time, I can't imagine you'd have a problem getting one. They also have wheelchairs for much cheaper, just in case.

Has she ever driven one? I would have her practice at a big retail outlet first. I find it exhausting to drive all day. People stop dead in front of you, cut you off, walk in front of you etc. It takes an intense amount of concentration. I can not take in anything around me, as I focus on driving and not running into those who stop dead in their tracks in front of me.

We've rented a couple of times from the various Disney parks. We did encounter at least one instance when we arrived at a park later in the day (perhaps after noon but can't recall exactly) and they were out of scooters. I think that was at MK though.

If you are going on the weekend or at a busy time you may want to go to the park early enough to get a scooter rented before they run out. If they have some available they will give you a wheel chair until a scooter becomes available as well.

$50.00 plus $20.00 deposit.

You can also rent one at International Gateway.

If you park Hop or go to Disney Springs you can show your receipt and just pay the deposit(subject to availability)-deposit at DS is $100.00.

The ECV fleet was replaced with new ones about a year ago.

It probably sounds crazy, I don't know how you are traveling.

But could she maybe bring her own? She will be familiar with it and there is no rental fee.

Of course she would have to transport it. And that may not be feasible.

She is flying but will be using her walker for the rest of the trip- she just thought because of what we are doing at Epcot that day the scooter might be nicer

You are right, she will probably want a scooter for Epcot. It is crazy big.
