Has anyone ever done this. I like the idea of being close to the action up front. The cabins are pretty far back and you have to take an extra bus to the transportation area.

I didn't rent one but we do own one and Fort Wilderness is a great place to camp. Just a boat ride over to the Kingdom is so convenient.
Where we were it was a very short walk to the boat launch but a bit longer to get to the bus depot. We used the internal bus a few times. The cabins were a bit further out from the main area but the buses were frequent. I would compare the prices of a cabin over the RV and make my decision on that. I think you would like Fort Wilderness no matter which you choose.

Are you in Mass? If so I used to live in Pembroke. I loved it there!!!!!!!!

There's actaully someone on these boards that you can rent a camper from. They set it up on your site and everything. If you go to the camping board someone will have the link to her site. It looks really nice.

we wanted to on our last trip...then we found out the cost. its ridiculously expensive to rent a motor home.
someone mentioned you could rent from someone on here, that might better. but any of those companies, it was crazy. i think it would have been cheaper to buy the darn thing:lmao:

Hey 'Disneyfor life' I too come from the great little town of Pembroke. We've been here for 42 years. We live right near Bobby Hackets, now called the Winery!!
I had seen the ad for renting the trailor and I think thats what we will be doing this time. I have been to Ft Wilderness many times and love it there. We have driven many times from Ma. and we have also rented from Cruise America. Having them set up the camper for us seems more like a vacation.

I lived on the other side of Pembroke near Marshfield. Off of Oak St. I am actually waiting for some friends from there, they are coming to visit today. I now live near Gillette Stadium.
I really did love it there and maybe someday will go back to that area, we moved to be closer to family. (sometimes a good thing, sometimes a bad thing) :rolleyes1
