We are travelling with our grandkids 5, 3 and 1 as well as their parents. They will have a stroller for the baby. We want to rent a double stroller for the bigger ones. Since we already have one stroller to put in the car we want to rent at the parks only. We'll do a length of stay rental. Does anyone have any tips/hacks for us? We did this when our kids were little and it worked great, but that was 15 years ago!

I'd buy an open box on on Amazon and donate it to the women's shelter when you're done. The rentals are brutal.

I suggest bringing a towel or blanket to put down as padding on the hard plastic.

This is a great idea! It doesn't work for our needs this trip. I really don't want to lug a stroller around. I just want to have it while we're at the actual parks.

not a tip but plan on a wait in line each day to get one as it is first come first served even with length of stay rental as park rentals can not go past the gate

I have no boots on the ground experience, but it does add an extra line in the morning. So if you're planning on using early entry to knock out a couple rides, you'll be behind the pack.

I would suggest renting through a third party - like Kingdom Strollers - much better than the ones at the park, more affordable and they will drop it off at your resort. I believe you have to meet them to pick up though.

My sister has used it on all three trips we have taken with the girls. Also, the stroller they provide is an expensive brand with lots of possible add-ons as needed.

I also recommend renting from a third party. We have never rented the park ones but they do not look comfortable all. The park doubles also look small so if your kids are big for their age it may be tight. If you rent from a third party you will also have a stroller for around the resort. I also think it is cheaper.

I would probably skip the line first thing in the morning, and just pick one up later in the day.
That said, I'd probably bring a double stroller, and plan to rent a single as needed. I'm planning to bring/rent a double, because I know my 5 year old will want to ride more than walk. The end of the day for the walk to the car is the time we tend to need it the most.

if it was me with kids those ages I would bring the single for traveling with 1 year old but would rent offsite double and put that in car. then rent in park a single if needed. one thing to plan on who is going to carry 5 year old to car at end of day as that park stroller can not go out the gate. and yes we have been there with those ages and needed the double more outside the park than in the park. plan on leaving the single you brought with you from home in the room. and unless it has changed recently trams are only at 2 of the parks so you are walking back to your car
