renting a car from resort to cruise pier?

We will be staying only one night in a Disney value resort. The next morning we need to drive down to Port Canaveral for a royal carribbean cruise. Whats our best option as far as getting there? We would want to leave the resort by 9:30am. I guess we could rent a car the day before, but I would think that would cost a lot more. I would be returning the car at whatever company in port canaveral by 11am the same day.

Check out renting from Alamo at the Disney Car Care Center. The code for the centerlocation is orlr72. You can search where the closest Alamo location is to your cruise terminal and if they offer a shuttle or have available taxis. I have found a good one day deal from MCO to the Car care center. There is transportation from your hotel to the Alamo desk.

Renting a small car one with with budget usually ends up being the cheapest way we can find. You can get a compact for under 40.00 with tax

I leave Sunday for my cruise on Monday next week. I am renting through Budget one way. I will pick up my car at the airport and return it less than 24hours later at Port Canaveral. I paid less than $40.00.

We used a rental for our cruise. Picked up the car at the Car Care Centre (they picked DH up at our resort), dropped the rental at the rental company and took their shuttle to the cruise terminal. Did the reverse when we returned (returning the car at MCO). Can't remember the rate, but it was a lot cheaper than taking a town car.
