So I had a question about renting from Alamo. So to start with, I love, love, love the ME ride from the airport I have did it so many times but it so gets you in the mood for your vcation. The thought of skipping it gets my tummy rolling. So I thought i throw out there for my friends oppion. Is renting from Alamo easyer from MCO or at Disney?. I only rented a car once and that was at Disnsey, so so experince. Getting the car took longer just because there was so many people, but the ride from the resort(i was at poly) went well pretty quick. Dropping the car off was real quick, they where at the car when i showed up. So I was consdering renting from MCO,is it easyer? My only real thought was i would not have to take any time away to go pick up the car, also I will be at POP(at this point) not poly. So a little further away

We rented a car for the first time last year for just a few days in the middle of our trip. We were staying at the BCV and did our rental at the Dolphin. We picked it up at 9am and I don't remember anyone else being in line. We dropped it off a few days later at 11pm and just had to leave it with bell services. The only bad thing that happened was they typed in the wrong return time (causing my total rate to double) but luckily I read before signing and I had a copy of the rental agreement with me. I think the Dolphin would be closer to the Pop. HTH

I've also rented a car from the Dolphin twice. Both times the rental went smoothly. There was no one else in line, so that part went pretty quickly. The longest wait was getting the car itself. You take the papers to Dolphin valet and they get the car for you, so if valet is busy it might be a 10-15 minute wait. As for dropping off, it is very easy. You just leave the car with valet.

I enjoy using ME to get to WDW (the luggage delivery is my favorite part), so renting the car at the Dolphin is the best option.

Well I actually went to the Disney care care center, not the dolphen. But ya I am leaning real hard at renting from there once i get to the resort.

The wait at the Alamo/Car Care Center location seemed busier to me. I think they only have two agents on duty and the line had 6+ people. They do have a resort shuttle service, so just give the a call for pickup and allow 20 mins.

I rented from Alamo MCO in Nov. We arrived around 11:30 and no one was in line. I am an "Alamo Insider" and had done my checkin online, so I could have used the Kiosk, but since there was no line, I walked up and was done in less than 5 mins.

I have rented a car the past 4 trips at MCO and am usually on my way within 15 mins. The only time I had issues was when I was checking in at the garage and there was a line. (not almo, I don't remember who it was)

I am renting again with Alamo next week. I really liked the idea of using ME, but I didn't like the extra time I had to allow to ride the bus. (Plus, we can make a stop at a grocery store and the Disney Outlet :thumbsup2)

I don't know how the rates are, but I once considered using Enterprise, since they advertise that they will pick you up. If they come to the resort to get you, that might save some time. Their prices have always been highest, so I have never tried it.

Past couple of trips we took I found that the Alamo prices at MCO are cheaper than the CCC or the Dolphin.
Picking up a car at MCO is very easy and can take less than 20 minutes if you use the kiosk. The kiosk is easy to use.

we always rent at the dolphin alamo rather than MCO (we mostly stay at the BWV).
the agents there are wonderful (even personally bringing us a new car when our battery was dead). it is such a pleasurable start to our vacations, that i will even pay a few .$'s mor, if need be.
like you, we love the convenience of DME - no way i'm carrying luggage when they will do it for me:)

Thats intersisting that there is a price diffrence thats something i never even thought of ???. The ME for me is not just the ease of not carrying your luggage, LOL funny i like to carry my luggage,i know its strange, it just gives you that little shot of Disney before you get to your resort. The kids, and the bigger kids(we know who we are) are all excited, there all talking what there going to do,what they want to see first, and theres the video,i know its a little cheesey, but i love it. If i could i would rent CCC and return it to MCO,but i dont think you can do that?.

Yes, you can do that. It asks for pick up and drop off locations when making the reservation.

we've had better luck with rates last August by picking up Alamo at MCO and dropping off at CCC. It saved us $100 on our minivan. We paid around $198 tax in for a week. I did the kiosk check in and it took no time what so ever. Then I simply walked out, picked my van and went on my merry way. I got to the resort 5 minutes before ME did as my mom and daughters took it.

Last trip I stayed at POP and rented at the Car Center. They senta shuttle and it came ontime. Only downside is that it stopped at other resorts on the way. I returned the car in MCO and used onsite baggage check in at POP so I did not need as big a car.

I have also rented from Enterprise before. they will pick up at POP and when I returned it they actually dropped me at EPCOT. They have more limited hours nd charge a fee to return to MCO. Also they have less pickup service so its ok so long as you reserve it in advance
