I will be cruising to Hawaii and one of the ports is Honolulu, Oahu. I was told that renting a car at the airport gets extremely busy and long lines so it would be better to rent at the Hilton Hawaiian Village through Hertz. I would have to take a cab to the Hilton instead of the airport. Our first stop once we pick up the car would be Pearl Harbor. Has anyone had any luck renting here for a good price. The cheapest price I could find is through USAA and it is $52 for a 4 door or $82 for a small SUV but I find that it is about $20 cheaper to rent at the airport. Any good codes out there for Hawaii? TIA :goodvibes

I'm sorry I can't help in terms of price. But DW and I did rent a car from that Hertz at the Hitlon Hawaiian Village. It was very easy to rent there and drop off the car at the airport when we were done.

And if you get a chance after Pearl Harbor, just start driving to the North part of the island, that was our favorite part, just driving and seeing the sights away from Honolulu.

I will tell you that there's a Dollar location at one of the Waikiki hotels that is charging 350 for a one-day rental, where the Enterprise is charging 50. Watch out who you rent from. Just sayin'....

Great thanks. Glad it worked for you. I was thinking we could take a cab from the port to the hilton and then drive to Pearl Harbor. The ship doesn't leave until 10:00pm so I definitely want to go up to the North Shore. Thanks!

Yikes, thanks for the heads up.
